1. Routine and Special Inspections:
• Conduct regular and detailed inspections of bridges, identifying structural deficiencies, signs of
wear and tear, and potential safety hazards.
• Perform special inspections following natural disasters, accidents, or other events that may impact
bridge integrity.

2. Visual and Instrumental Assessments:
• Utilize visual inspection techniques, including the use of drones and high resolution cameras.
• Implement Non Destructive Testing (NDT) methods such as Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle
Testing, and Radiographic Testing to detect internal flaws.

3. Documentation and Reporting:
• Create detailed inspection reports documenting findings, including photographic evidence and
annotated diagrams with Recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, data collected, and maintenance activities.
• Use digital reporting tools and integrate findings with bridge management systems

4. Safety Protocols:
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols during inspections.
• Ensure proper traffic management and safety measures are in place during on site inspections.

5. Preferred Skills:
• Experience with mobile bridge inspection units (MBIUs).
• Familiarity with drone technology for visual inspections.
• Knowledge of machine learning applications in predictive maintenance.
• Understanding of industry standards such as ASTM, AASHTO, IRC and ISO.
• Experience with NDT methods and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

6. Physical Requirements:
• This position involves both office and field work.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Willingness to travel to various bridge sites as required.
• Capability to operate and handle MBIU equipment safely and efficiently.

7. Structural Analysis
Structural Integrity Checks:
• Use NDT methods to evaluate the overall structural integrity and detect any hidden defects.
• Recommend maintenance or repair actions based on analysis results.

Visual Inspections:
• Conduct comprehensive visual inspections using MBIUs, drones, and other advanced tools.
• Document and report any visible signs of damage, corrosion, or structural deterioration.

Regular Reporting:
• Generate detailed reports summarizing monitoring data and findings.
• Communicate results to stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations for maintenance
and repairs.

8. Structural Inventory Management
Database Maintenance
• Maintain a comprehensive and up to date structural inventory of all bridges within the jurisdiction.

Inventory Audits:
• Conduct regular audits of the structural inventory to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Update inventory records based on inspection findings, repairs, and modifications.

Utilization of MBIUs
• Deploy and operate Mobile Bridge Inspection Units (MBIUs) for comprehensive bridge inspections.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe and effective MBIU operations.
• Coordinate with traffic management and adhere to safety protocols during inspections
